Double Degree Programm

A double degree program — also known as a joint degree program — is a special international study program offered jointly by two universities in different countries.
Based on a special cooperation agreement, students who are accepted into this program can earn two full academic degrees — one from each partner university.

This study model combines the strengths of both institutions and offers students the opportunity to examine a subject from different academic and cultural perspectives. By studying in two academic systems, they not only expand their specialist knowledge, but also their intercultural skills and language abilities.

The Pforzheim – Ljubljana Connection

Two universities, two degrees – an international career boost

Double Degree Program between Pforzheim University Business School (HSPF/Business School) and the University of Ljubljana,

School of Economics and Business (SEBLU)

In an increasingly interconnected world, international mobility is an important factor when it comes to employment opportunities. For this reason, the Faculty of Economics and Law in Pforzheim is delighted to establish the double degree program in cooperation with the University of Ljubljana.

In addition to the academic content, students benefit from intensive intercultural exchange and the opportunity to build valuable international networks. Living and studying in Ljubljana provides deep insights into the European economic and innovation landscape and creates connections that last far beyond the end of the program.

SEBLU is one of the leading business schools in Central and Eastern Europe and one of the few business schools worldwide to have been awarded Triple Crown Accreditation (EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA). Students benefit from an excellent international academic environment, modern teaching methods, and a strong practical focus.

The double degree program enables students to earn two internationally recognized master's degrees within two years while also developing valuable intercultural skills. The close integration of theory and practice, joint research activities, and a lively campus life in Ljubljana create a unique study experience that broadens students' horizons beyond national borders and facilitates their long-term career entry into international companies.

Study where others go on vacation – discover Slovenia's mountains and nature

Slovenia delights visitors with its unique combination of unspoiled nature, impressive mountain scenery, and Mediterranean lifestyle. Few countries offer such a variety of landscapes in such a small area: the majestic peaks of the Julian Alps, crystal-clear mountain lakes such as Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, dense forests, green valleys, and even proximity to the Adriatic Sea.

For students in Ljubljana, this means that nature is just a stone's throw away after lectures. Whether it's a spontaneous hike in Triglav National Park, a mountain bike tour through alpine valleys, or a weekend in a mountain hut, Slovenia offers countless opportunities to unwind, recharge your batteries, and gather new impressions.

The diversity of the landscape creates an ideal balance to intensive study and at the same time represents the values that the double degree program also conveys: openness, a thirst for discovery, and intercultural perspectives. Many students describe their time in Slovenia as a formative experience – not only academically, but also personally.

Anyone who has ever stood in the mountains of Slovenia quickly understands why the country is considered the “green heart of Europe.” The combination of academic excellence, cultural diversity, and breathtaking nature makes studying in Ljubljana a very special experience that goes far beyond the classroom.
