Tasks and areas of responsibility
The Dean's Office is responsible for the academic and strategic management of the Business School and is specifically responsible for:
- Coordination of teaching and studies: ensuring quality, further developing the range of courses on offer, accreditations, and evaluations.
- Research and transfer: promoting research projects, cooperation, and knowledge exchange with companies and institutions.
- Personnel and appointment procedures: managing appointments, personnel development, and providing professional support to professors.
- Finances and resources: planning and managing the budget, facilities, and infrastructure.
- Internationalization: Expanding global partnerships, supporting international students and visiting scholars.
- Committee work: Coordination with the faculty council, examination boards, and other university committees.
These tasks ensure that the Business School continuously meets its high standards of quality in teaching and research.
Prof. Dr. Thomas Cleff has been Dean of the Business School at Pforzheim University since 2014. As Dean, he is responsible for the overall management of the Business School. His tasks include the strategic orientation of the faculty, internal and external representation, and the coordination of teaching, research, and quality development.

Prof. Dr. Harald Strotmann is Vice Dean and Deputy Dean of the Business School. He is responsible for international accreditations, strategy, and master's programs, and plays a key role in the strategic development of the faculty. He is also the contact person for international study programs and quality assurance.

Prof. Dr. Claudius Eisenberg is Vice Dean and, as Dean of Studies, responsible for academic operations, exam organization, and national accreditation at the Business School. He also coordinates graduate surveys and admissions, thereby ensuring the quality and further development of the study programs.

Prof. Dr. Nadine Lindstädt-Dreusicke is Vice Dean for Alumni Relations, Corporate Partnerships, and Campus Attractiveness. She also heads the Marketing, Communications, Mentoring, and Talent Development departments. Through her commitment, she strengthens the Business School's network and supports student development.

Committees and boards
The Dean's Office works closely with the various committees and boards of the Business School and supports their decision-making and advisory processes.
