One of our most important values at the Business School Pforzheim is internationality. While each of our degree programs offers the opportunity to spend a semester abroad, some programs also give students the opportunity to earn a second, international degree - the so-called double degree. You can find out everything you need to know about this here.
Key facts about the double degree
What is a double degree?
A double degree offers students the opportunity to obtain two degrees at the same time during their studies. Students graduate with one degree from Pforzheim University and receive the other degree from one of our partner universities abroad.
It is generally possible to obtain a double degree if the participating study programs teach common content. That way, it is guaranteed that the academic achievements abroad will be recognized regardless.
What are the advantages of a double degree?
In addition to the international degree, the double degree enables students to immerse themselves more deeply in a new culture, improve their intercultural skills and thus gain advantages for their future academic and professional career - especially in an international environment.
How can I obtain a double degree?
There are currently five degree programs at the Business School Pforzheim that offer a double degree option:
- Bachelor International Business
- Bachelor International Marketing
- Master Controlling, Finance & Accounting (German)
- Master Corporate Communication Management
- Master Information Systems (German)
The process varies slightly depending on the degree program. However, the basic principle is that in order to obtain a double degree, students study in Pforzheim for a few semesters before attending a partner university abroad for at least one year (two semesters).
