Evaluation workshop and casual get-together at the end of a busy summer semester

Another busy semester with much newly acquired knowledge, many team work projects, a series of inspiring guest speakers on campus, an exciting excursion to Munich and the popular Alumni Meet Current Students event has been coming to an end.
After their last classes and final exams the second semester students met with MBA program director Prof. Harald Strotmann for an evaluation workshop to share their personal experiences with the different lectures and events of the summer semester.
In March, at the beginning of the second semester, the MBA batch was joined by two new students, from USA and Madagascar, who - due to their business background - are able to do the 16-months MBA fast track. The four-day excursion to Munich had been a great kick-off of the summer semester which, after a winter semester largely dominated by digital events due to the pandemic, finally offered the opportunity to gain real-life experience and grow together as a group.
In addition to the specializations in Innovation Management and Sustainable Globalization, courses such as Strategic Management and International Business Development as well as Business Controlling in an International Context were taught to the second semester MBA students. Research Methods, Project Management and different electives from the Management Skills field also formed part of the very busy summer semester.
After the evaluation workshop at university the students and Prof. Strotmann walked over to the closeby Gartenstüble to talk the evening away and share their plans for the summer break over a cool drink in an informal atmosphere.
Besides the regular evaluations conducted by the department for quality management at the university, the evaluation workshops are an important tool for the MBA team to get first-hand impressions and comments from students. It allows to find out what can additionally be done to support students with their learnings and also in means of consistent quality assurance of the program.
We are wishing all of our students a nice semester break! Stay safe and we are looking forward to seeing you again in September!
