NO SHORTCOMINGS IN THIS SUPPLY CHAIN

MBA Pforzheim successfully navigates the latest pandemic changes without sacrificing quality of experience.

Another pandemic hurdle responsibly cleared by the students and staff at MBA Pforzheim! After weeks of preparation, students shifted their planned in-person workshops to an online format that was informative, interactive, and fun! Our MBA students were divided into teams of seven and tasked with covering some of today’s most prevalent Supply Chain Management topics including Sustainability in supply chains, Optimizing and Controlling supply chain performance, and Strategic Network planning in supply chain design. Under the guidance of Pforzheim University´s Prof. Frank Schätter and guest lecturer Prof. Hendrik Reefke, the students worked together and were educated through both lecture style and hands on learning approaches. The results again reflected the diverse backgrounds of our students as no two hands-on activities were conducted in the same manner.
The MBA Pforzheim would like to extend a thank you to Cranfield University Lecturer Prof. Reefke for visiting us from the UK and working with Prof. Schätter to expose students to a variety of supply chain experiences. Prof. Reefke completed his PhD at the University of Auckland and stayed in New Zealand as a postdoctoral researcher at the university before moving to the UK to join forces with Cranfield. He is an active researcher focused primarily on sustainable supply chain management, service supply chains, and performance measurement/reporting. Students praised Prof. Reefke’s natural ability to keep the class engaged throughout his lectures and call on a multitude of experiences when answering any questions that arise in class. We were lucky to have Prof. Reefke again and as always, look forward to the next opportunity to see him on campus here at Pforzheim.
