MBA EXCURSION TIME

News

Interesting insights and lots of networking opportunities

The MBA students had a great start to their third semester with a 3-day field trip that took them to company visits and meetings with company executives in Oberderdingen, Frankfurt and Klingenberg.
In compliance with the 3G regulations, Prof. Markus-Oliver Schwaab, responsible for company contacts within the MBA program, was able to put together an exciting program for the students.

The first day started with a visit to BLANC & Fischer Familienholding in Oberderdingen, a group of companies which is very well known in the field of kitchen appliances and facilities.

The second stop of the day was at Innoplexus in Eschborn, a start-up that is a leading global AI-based platform for drug development which tracks down and prepares professional knowledge from the Internet and databases and that was founded by our MBA alumnus Gunjan Bhardwaj.

On the second day of the excursion the MBA welcomed HS Pforzheim alumnus Thomas Heck, Partner and Head China Business Group at PwC to the conference room at the hotel, followed by MBA alumnus Govinda Ahuja, Manger Business Development at BASF who presented about their companies and shared experiences with the students.

In the afternoon the students went for a guided city tour through Frankfurt before they met with MBA alumni at one of the well known Weinstuben for a great evening of networking.

The third excursion day started with Dr. Alexander del Torro Barba, Lead Machine Learning Specialist at Google who gave the students an insight on Quantum Computing and Quantum Machine Learning.

Afterwards the group went off to Klingenberg to visit WIKA, an internationally active family business that primarily manufactures pressure and temperature measurement technology.

A great THANK YOU from the MBA team, Prof. Harald Strotmann and Prof. Markus-Oliver Schwaab to all the companies that have welcomed our students during their excursion, the company representatives that have met with them and our MBA alumni!
