GUEST IN CLASSROOM #5: Prof. Korbinian Eichner presents his elective classes for the winter semester

News

So many electives, how to choose?!

With the second semester MBA students rapidly approaching the end of the term, it is time to start evaluating what courses they would like to take in the third semester. With the third semester comprising of 50% self-selected electives and a wide variety of classes and topics available, this is no easy task for our students. The MBA Pforzheim is pleased to be offering 14 exciting electives in a range of topics including Company projects, Marketing, Communications, Consulting, Economics, Corporate Leadership, Sustainable Innovation, Accounting and Finance. With all these great options available, we are grateful that Prof Eichner took some time to come speak to students about the two courses he will be teaching which are Applied Corporate Valuation (ACP) and Mergers, Acquisitions & Corporate Restructurings (M&A). Prof Eichner has been a professor with Pforzheim University since October 2017. After receiving his Master in Finance and PhD in Accounting at the University of St Gallen in Switzerland, he spent time working for UBS and KPMG. Prof Eichner explained his hands-on approach to teaching which features an application and problem solving focused learning experience. After a brief presentation about the courses being offered, his teaching style, and his background in Finance, Prof Eichner fielded a wide range of questions from students. These questions focused on learning more about the classes, how he applied these topics in his professional experience, and of course with so many great classes to choose from, how he would recommend proceeding if the students could pick just one of his classes. Thank you Prof Eichner for taking the time! It is much appreciated by all of us!
