Latest Pforzheim MBA guest speaker impresses with strong International and Management backgrounds

Another week, another fantastic guest speaker at the MBA Pforzheim. Students were delighted to hear from Andreas Hüttmann, VP/Business Owner Bosch Benchtop & System Tools PRO [Huettmann Andreas (PT-BI/PXX)] at Robert Bosch Power Tools GmbH. Andreas’ unique path to his current role in Bosch reinforced the importance of taking leaps and being eager to take on new roles, learn new industries and skillsets. After spending a few years learning to make pianos, Andreas decided to pursue a degree in business administration. His passions for music and travel guided his career path as he segued his power tool experience in the piano industry to joining the Bosch Power Tool Team; spending a few years working and living in Australia [Huettmann Andreas (PT-BI/PXX)], back to Germany and then China before returning to Germany. Andreas covered many of the topics important to today’s business world including a deeper dive into how he and his team are focusing their efforts on innovation, diversity in the workforce and sustainability practices. After a quick lesson in the differences between rational and emotional products Andreas divided the class into teams to work on potential emotional products that a company could offer to boost the sales of their rational products. After 20 minutes of collaboration the four groups presented their suggestions to the class and then had class discussions to compare and contrast the strategies implemented when coming up with their ideas.
To close the discussion, Andreas Hüttmann walked students through his recommendations on job searches, selection, and personal growth. This is something the class took to heart as they begin to dive more deeply into their post MBA goals. Andreas had partnered with the MBA Pforzheim on a company project prior to this latest visit. All of us at the MBA Pforzheim extend a big THANK YOU for this latest visit and look forward to remaining in touch in the years to come.
