We are delighted to share with you the inspiring experience that MBA students from Pforzheim University had during their visit to the Witzenmann Group headquarters in Pforzheim, Germany. This visit provided an excellent opportunity for these young minds to gain valuable insights into the operations of a leading metal processing company and to learn about the latest trends in digital transformation, sustainability, and demographic change.
The Witzenmann Group, which is a family owned company in the 5th generation already, is a global leader in the manufacturing of metal hoses, expansion joints, metal bellows, and other metal components used in various industries such as automotive, aerospace, energy, and medical technology. Their innovative products and solutions are designed to meet the needs of various industries and, besides others, help them meet their sustainability goals.
During their visit, the students were warmly welcomed by the management team, including Mr. Philip Paschen, COO/CDO and Vice President of the Board of Directors, and Ms. Paulina Kreutel, Staff Member to Board of Management. The management team's enthusiasm and warmth left a lasting impression on the students.
The students learned about Witzenmann's transformative approach to business, which is centered around key areas such as decarbonization, digitalization, sustainability, and demographic change. The company is committed to promoting sustainable practices across its operations, and its digital strategy is designed to keep pace with the fast-changing business landscape and drive innovation and   efficiency. The students were fascinated by the potential of digital transformation to disrupt traditional industries and create new opportunities for growth and innovation.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the students to learn about the impact of globalization and digital transformation on the industry. The management team shared their insights on how digital transformation is changing the way businesses operate and how companies like Witzenmann are using technology to improve their processes and create new business models.
The management team also emphasized the importance of a strong corporate culture in fostering collaboration, creativity, and a sense of purpose among employees. The students were impressed by Witzenmann's approach to strategic planning and its emphasis on cultivating a culture of innovation.
Finally, the students had the opportunity to engage in discussions with the Witzenmann management about potential career opportunities. They learned about the various career paths available within the company and the skills and qualities required to succeed in the industry. The discussions were informative and insightful, and the students left with a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
