Mastering the Art of Business @ Pforzheim University

News

In this article, one of our new MBA students, Aditya Yardi, elaborates about his first weeks in the MBA International Management program.

When we talk about an MBA, the first two things that I aspire to learn, are Business Knowledge and Collaboration. The few weeks spent in Hochschule Pforzheim, I believe, have set me up for the perfect opportunity to do so. Now, you must be thinking, how did I realise this within such a short time? Hold on, let me explain the reasoning to you. The entire process from application, enrollment, up until arriving and settling in Pforzheim, has been seamless. The refresher German course was beneficial to deep-dive into the nitty-gritties of German language followed by the big day, when an exciting and much-awaited chapter began.  It has been great to attend the lectures, explore the campus, interact and learn together with my class mates. The immensely helpful MBA team and the competend professors are imparting the right values, principles and knowledge to empower and enable us. This inspires me to give my best in every assignment.
I was extremely excited and could not wait for our lectures to begin! And when they did, I was totally mind-blown by the depth of discussions, the real-life case studies presented and the manner in which the entire group was engaged. From how to precisely manage accounts and balance sheets, to how to develop an economic perspective to everything around us, from understanding how statistics are crucial, how a planned supply chain can help in avoiding risks and maximise sustainable profits, to discussing the all important human psycology and how one can optimize the team's potential - all the sessions have been the right blend of domain knowledge, group interactions and application oriented thinking. So far it has been an incredible experience to be part of this MBA program and I am already waiting for my next lecture to start!
