Greetings from the Dean
Business School Pforzheim – We know what matters most
The Business School Pforzheim is one of the biggest and most successful business schools in Germany. We may say that proudly, as we are the first and to date the only German University of Applied Sciences in Germany to receive the international accreditation by the renowned association AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Thereby we are among the leading business schools in the world – an honor and a commitment to quality in research and teaching equally. We are and will continue to remain a top address for motivated and talented applicants, as well as employers looking for highly qualified employees.
As the requirements for business degrees have changed within the 50 years of our existence, the Business School has changed accordingly. The international and practical orientation of our research and teaching, the promotion of foreign languages and methodological competencies together with the integration of the Lecturers’ practical experiences and intensive business contacts are crucial building blocks of our success. With newly developed courses we focus on current social developments and ensure that our graduates are qualified for their professional lives.
Whether advertising psychologist, business lawyer or resource specialist - an important aspect of our study programs is our very own “Pforzheim Model”. This concept of a profound business training, which also entails qualitative methods, economics and business law, alongside a specialization from the start leads to a wide operating spectrum for our graduates.
Ambitious students benefit from highly qualified, committed and experienced professors, from small class sizes, from close relations to over 500 businesses nationwide and abroad, as well as our international network of partner universities.
In applied research, we focus on practical solutions and cooperate with research institutions and other universities. Our professors publish and research in a wide array of disciplines – you can get an insight into the variety by clicking the competency search under the research tab of the website.
We live an open campus philosophy and are looking forward to getting to know you! Visit us at a Dies Academicus event, at one of our student information session days or just get in touch with us.
