Welcome to visiting scholar Rocío Carranza

Rocío Carranza, Ph.D. in Economics and Business, is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Faculty of Management and Communication at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) and Assistant Professor of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, both in Spain.

Her main research interests focus on tourism, new technologies and service marketing, topics on which she applies Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) techniques.
Currently, Professor Carranza is involved in the areas of brand management for luxury and high-value brands. The purpose of her research visit is to develop a project which links her research lines with the ones of Professor Fernando Fastoso. This exchange will allow Carranza and Fastoso to develop new approaches and share information, publish research findings, and build new professional relationships between UNIR and Pforzheim University.

The International University of La Rioja (UNIR) is based in Madrid and Logroño (Spain). UNIR is becoming a world reference as a global Spanish-speaking university with a significant presence in Spain and America and more than 53,000 students from all over the world.


The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) offers courses in the cities of Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Toledo, Almadén and Talavera de la Reina. UCLM is a modern institution with almost 30,000 students, 2,270 lecturers and researchers and 1,059 administrative and service staff.
