BGS Chapter Pforzheim: High Honors Chapter

News

Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter at Pforzheim University  has earned recognition as a High Honors Chapter for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Qualifying for this recognition is indicative of a campus where academic excellence is highly valued, and where chapter officers work diligently to enhance Beta Gamma Sigma’s stature on campus.. To celebrate this achievement, BGS’ Board Chair, Dean Mary Gowan, sent her congratulations.

Pforzheim Business School will be recognized as a High Honors Chapter on BGS website, at BGS events, and in publications like the Recognition of Excellence program (which is distributed at AACSB’s International Conference & Meeting and other AACSB events).

In January 2014, Pforzheim Business School opened its Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter. As the Business School has been AACSB accredited since 2012, the opening of the BGS Chapter was the next consequential step. The possibility to nominate and induct its best students to become Beta Gamma Sigma members is a very valuable chance the Business School can now use to become even more attractive for collegiate high-potentials.

On June 21st, 2022, the 9th induction ceremony of lifelong BGS members of Pforzheim BGS Chapter took place. After two ceremonies which were celebrated online due to COVID 19, it was the first onsite induction ceremeny. This time, 92 new bachelor and 25 new master students received their membership certificate.

The membership is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate, masters or doctoral program at a school accredited by AACSB International – and this by invitation only. Invited members are nominated for membership once a year based on criteria that are set according to the BGS rules. Membership certificates are awarded at an induction ceremony.
