EVALUATION WORKSHOP

News

At the end of each semester the MBA evaluates all classes to ensure the program´s high quality standards

Another busy semester with lots of new knowledge, a series of inspiring guest speakers in our virtual MBA classroom, the popular Alumni Meet Current Student event and lots of virtual team work on different projects has been coming to an end.
After their last classes and exams the 1st semester students met with the MBA team for the evaluation workshop to share their individual experiences as NEW MBA students. As a result of delayed visa processes in some countries due to the pandemic, not all new MBA students were able to arrive in Pforzheim on time for the start of their first semester.  By using the hybrid lecture model, it was still possible for students to attend the business foundation lectures together with their batch members - some in classroom on campus, others online from their homes. Fortunately, by the second half of the winter semester all new students had arrived in Pforzheim and could finally meet with their class mates in person. The great flexibility of the MBA professors and the good technical equipment of the lecture rooms made it possible to continue the lessons without content limitations even during times of strict Covid restrictions.
For the 3rd semester students the winter semester, that started with an excursion to the Frankfurt region in September, provided various electives in Marketing, Consulting and Finance & Accounting that they were able to choose from, to sharpen their profiles. The Company Projects during which the MBA students were able to work on real life projects with companies such as MAHLE, NKL and Bosch Rexroth, were a great learning experience to prepare them professionally and personally for future endeavours. After their last class in Management Simulation and Business Planning the “active” time in the MBA program has come to an end as they are now entering their thesis semester. Over a drink in an informal atmosphere at the closeby Gartenstüble the students talked the evening away about their future plans.
Besides the regular evaluations conducted by the department for quality management at the university, the evaluation workshops are an important tool for the MBA team to get first-hand impressions and comments from students. It allowes to find out what can additionally be done to support students with their learnings and also in means of consistent quality assurance of the program.

We are wishing all of our students a nice semester break! Stay safe and we are looking forward to staying in touch and seeing you again!
