Statement of the Business School Pforzheim:
For Academic Freedom, Diversity, and Social Responsibility

With growing concern, we are observing attempts around the world to restrict the freedom of scientists and scholars and to subject academic work to political or ideological pressure. We strongly oppose such tendencies, for science must remain independent, evidence-based, and critical.

As Business School Pforzheim, with a clear commitment to social responsibility, internationality, practical orientation and high academic quality, we expressly uphold the values of academic freedom, diversity, equal opportunities and personal responsibility in science and teaching. We see it as our duty to provide our students and researchers with the space to develop their own ideas, ask questions, and work scientifically without being influenced by political or economic interests. Only through openness, critical thinking, and free academic development can we strive to make a genuine contribution to a responsible, future-oriented society.

As Business School Pforzheim, we therefore stand firmly by our core values and are committed to diversity, equal opportunities, and academic freedom as fundamental principles of our understanding of education and as central components of our identity as Business School Pforzheim.

We strongly encourage all academic institutions and accreditation organizations to continue to regard these core values as central components of academic excellence and social responsibility.

We firmly stand behind the constitutionally anchored right to freedom of expression and defend the principle of academic independence. Now more than ever!
