Pforzheim Business School in Ranking
In the landscape of higher education, there are a number of renowned rankings that evaluate universities. They can offer prospective students orientation in choosing their studies. But they also serve to inform employers, research partners and other interested parties who are in contact with a university.
Among the well widely recognized rankings in the field of business and law are the national CHE University Ranking and the WiWo Ranking. In an international context, the Global University Ranking by U-Multirank and the European Eduniversal-Ranking are well known.
U-Multirank – Pforzheim University has received excellent results in the Multirank Ranking again this year. U-Multirank compared more than 1,600 universities from 95 countries worldwide in five core categories. The ranking confirms that Pforzheim University is one of the 13 universities in Germany that have received top marks in ten or more categories, among the “Global Top 30” performing business studies programs in the category “Applied Knowledge Partnerships”, and ranked no. 42 in the category “Teaching & Learning” internationally. The ranking also emphasizes Pforzheim’s international orientation, the strong linkages to companies and the high number of interdisciplinary publications.
In the 2020 ranking, the 11 Bachelor's programs in business administration as well as the program in business law received top positions in all four core categories: support at the beginning of the study program, range of courses and study situation, contact with professional practice and completion within an appropriate period of time. The Bachelor's program in business information systems is among the top-rated programs in Germany regarding support at the beginning of the program and contact with professional practice.
Wiwo Ranking – For many years, graduates of the Business School Pforzheim have been among the best in Germany from the employers' point of view. The Wiwo Ranking 2020 ranks both the Bachelor’s programs in business studies and in business informatics 7th nationwide. For this ranking the business magazine “WirtschaftsWoche (WiWo)” asks HR managers in Germany from which universities they prefer to recruit. The focus is thus on how employers rate graduates of the Business School Pforzheim in comparison to graduates of other universities.
U-Multirank – Pforzheim University is one of the "Global Top 25 Universities" worldwide in the international orientation of its programs. U-Multirank is a ranking financed by the European Commission that evaluates over 1,700 universities in 96 countries around the world. Pforzheim University scores points above all for its excellent international exchange programs with more than 100 partner universities worldwide and the range of English-language courses, which are offered both by Pforzheim professors and foreign guest lecturers.
Wiwo Ranking – In the Wiwo Ranking 2019, the Business School once again took third place nationwide. The programs on business informatics were ranked on a very good 7th place.
Eduniversal ranking – The Business School Pforzheim is the best business school at a university of applied sciences in Germany, according to the international Eduniversal ranking. Pforzheim is the national top 3 school in the category "excellent business school with reinforcing international influence". In the general ranking of all universities and universities of applied sciences, the Business School Pforzheim occupies 11th place and thus leads the ranking of universities of applied sciences in Germany. The Eduniversal ranking is based on a survey of the deans of a total of 1,000 selected business schools in 154 countries worldwide. They indicate for each country which of the business schools there have the best reputation.
Wiwo Ranking – In the Wiwo Ranking 2018, the Business School took 3rd place nationwide. The business informatics programs, for which a subject-specific ranking is compiled, is in a very good 6th place.
Eduniversal ranking – The Business School Pforzheim is the best business school at a university of applied sciences in Germany. In the category "excellent business school with reinforcing international influence" it occupies 6th place. In a comparison of all universities it is ranked 15th among business schools in Germany – again as the best university of applied sciences.
CHE Ranking Bachelor – The 2017 ranking includes all programs at the Business School. The Bachelor's programs in business administration received top ratings in all four core categories and again occupy a top position within the German educational landscape. The Bachelor's programs in business informatics and in business law are at the top of the list with a special emphasize in the category "International orientation".
CHE Ranking Master – The Business School's Master's programs were also able to further expand their top position. Especially in the categories "overall study situation" and "international orientation", the Master’s programs are among the top in Germany. The master students at Pforzheim gave their university also top marks for "course offerings" and "support during studies".
U-Multirank – Pforzheim University belongs to the top group of European universities in terms of quality of teaching and research. Pforzheim University is a "hidden gem university", where academic knowledge and research is made available to society in a particularly exemplary manner, according to this ranking of the European Commission. The U-Multirank Ranking evaluates and compares around 1,500 universities and colleges on the basis of key figures and student surveys. It attests the Business School Pforzheim that all study programs are well organized, teaching is effective and of high quality, and graduates enter the job market quickly and successfully.
