WELCOME TO A NEW SEMESTER!

News

“Old” and new students met on campus to kick-off the summer semester.

Another semester has commenced! On Monday March 1st, the second semester MBA International Management students met in classroom with the members from the MBA office to kick-off what is bound to be an exciting and challenging semester. Five new students, from Brazil, China, India, and Malaysia, that due to visa delays could not all be in Pforzheim for the semester start yet, have joined this batch. Coming from different professional backgrounds they all bring a wealth of experience and knowledge with them that they are happy to share with their batch members.

After introductions to get to know one another, Professor Harald Strotmann briefed the students on what to expect in the coming semester. Each course offering was discussed in detail and linked to the program goals of the MBA. Besides the classical MBA classes in General Management the MBA at Pforzheim University places a focus on Sustainability, Globalization, Innovation and Digital Transformation to prepare its students for the challenges of today´s business world. Additionally, various events such as Guest in Classroom talks, an Alumni Meet Current Students event, excursions and company visits to introduce the students to industry professionals was covered by Professor Markus-Oliver Schwaab.

Once the semester opening concluded, and with no time to spare, the students immediately began the first course of the semester in Project Management taught by Professor Frauke Sander. Students, professors, and staff are all looking forward to the learning and growth this semester will bring!
