Admission Process

The Admissions Committee reviews applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. Early applications are recommended and appreciated.

 

What do you need to apply for the MBA International Management?

Proof of High-School Certificate (degree that allows university admission)

University Transcripts

GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test): Expected score: 550+ (or equivalent GRE score).
  GMAT Focus Edition: Expected Score 515+ (or equivalent GRE score)
  We will continue to accept both GMAT test editions equally.
  To ensure delivery of your official GMAT score to us, use our school code: V89-QB-58.
  The school code for GRE is 0475.

Proficiency in English
  TOEFL expected score: Internet-based test: 100, computer-based test: 250, paper-based test: 600.

  IELTS with an overall band score of 7.0.

Motivation letter (one page)

  Please name two academic and/or professional references in the application form. In some cases we contact them for reference.
 

Our former Recommendation Letters are not needed anymore. However, if you have recommendation letters at hand, feel free   to attach them in your application package.

FEES

For the program cycle starting in winter semester 2023/24, fees are the following:

• tuition fee per Semester
  4,600 € per semester
     211 € registration fee per semester
       20 € Student ID card only in the 1st semester
 
• Application Fee   
  We do not charge any application fee.
 
• Living Costs
  Please note that covering financial needs (cost of living averages € 700-800 per month) is the responsibility of the student,   and the visa may require proof of means; financial support by the university is not available.

• Scholarships
  Please note, that our program is a self-financing program and the program itself does not offer scholarships.
 
  The DAAD offers various scholarships on its database. 
 
  "Deutschlandstipendium": There are some scholarships available; however, it is only possible to apply once you are registered with our university. Please also note that the available scholarships are limited, so there is no guarantee of receiving one.

 

APPLICATION DEADLINES

The Pforzheim MBA offers admissions on a rolling basis throughout the year. Therefore, we suggest sending in your application as early as possible.
 
Latest acceptance of application documents for the upcoming semester intake:
•    June 15 - for October entry
Applicants from the EU or those who do not need a visa for studying in Germany can send us their application until July 31.

•    December 15  - for March entry (Business graduates only!)
Applicants from the EU or those who do not need a visa for studying in Germany can send us their application until January 31.

 

For your application planning, please also keep in mind the visa application process and timeline.
Recent years have seen an increase in the duration of visa application processes. Yet, visa processes may vary from country to country.
Therefore, we recommend to check with your local visa authority or agency early and plan your application with us accordingly before the above given deadlines.

 

To use the Online Application System you will need internet access, as well as an email address that you can access regularly.

Complete and submit your online application. Documents needed as PDF are your University transcript and certificate, High-School certificate, your CV, GMAT and TOEFL, a motivation letter and a letter on extracurricular activities. Find more information on the necessary documents above.

You don’t have to complete the application in one sitting. You can save your application and then finish at a later time. Partially completed applications will be saved for 30 days. Note that your date of application will be the submission date of your application, as only then we can view your application.

Once you submit your online application

You’ll get a confirmation email to the email address you registered with. This email confirms your application has been submitted.

Changes to your submitted application

Once you've submitted your application you won't be able to change it. If you need to make changes please send us an email.

Wait for us to contact you shortly

After we received your application, we’ll contact you directly. Either we confirm your application is complete, or we discuss in detail which documents are still missing.

Congratulations, your application is complete and you are eligible to our program. Now our admission committee wants to get to know you personally.

We schedule an interview with you. You live in the area? Then we invite you to our campus. You live further away? Then we arrange an interview via Skype or MS Teams. This interview will last approximately 30 minutes. The content is similar to an interview in the industry; it is held in English and preferably with a video call option.

At the end of our interview, we give you an outlook on the further admission process. The admission committee meets once per month, so your final decision can take a little. We are aware of visa process duration; therefore, we encourage you to apply early for your preferred starting date.

Receive your admission letter via DHL

Once we decide on your admission, you will receive a scan of your admission letter via email. The official admission letter will be sent to you via DHL postal service. This mail will also include further information on the transaction of fees and your enrollment at the university. Now you can start your preparations to come to Pforzheim!

Now that you are in Pforzheim, please come to our MBA office. We are happy to welcome you.

To enroll as a student in Pforzheim, we need to approve your documents. This means, you have to bring your mandatory documents to your office, either as the original for us to copy and approve or as a certified copy. Please be aware: Without these documents, you can not be enrolled as a student!
