New in the Library of Things: Borrow Sports Equipment Free of Charge

Whether you're planning a spontaneous game of badminton on campus, a basketball match with friends, or a round of Kubb in the park, the Library of Things is expanding its collection. From now on, students can borrow a variety of sports and recreational equipment free of charge in addition to books and other library materials.

The new collection includes, among other items:

  • Badminton set
  • Basketball
  • Football (soccer ball)
  • Volleyball
  • Frisbee
  • Kubb (Viking Chess)
  • Mölkky
  • Additional sports and recreational games

How Borrowing Works

All you need is a valid HS student ID card to borrow items—just as easy as borrowing books.

All items can be borrowed and returned directly at the library circulation desk.

Loan Periods

The following loan periods apply:

  • Electronic devices (e.g. hose reel or charging cables): 1 library opening day
  • Games and sports equipment:3 library opening days

Please note that these loan periods refer only to the library's opening days. Saturdays are not counted.
