“Transparency is Important”

News

The MBA students were joined by Prof. Dr. Korbinian Eichner and several of his Bachelor students for a visit by Mr. Michael Hahn, CFA, Valuation Director in KPMG’s Deal Advisory practice in Stuttgart.

Mr. Hahn shared many valuable insights on how they do valuations at KPMG and how they use some of the most sophisticated valuation models in the industry.
We learned about Mr. Hahn’s 18-year career at the company and how exciting client work is. Mr. Hahn said, "it is important to have open communication and full transparency on how to approach a client situation as the consulting business is a people’s business built on trust." This quote showed how important building a close working relationship is in the world of consulting as you will often have recurring clients if you provide valuable insights into client topics.
Mr. Hahn then went into detail about the many opportunities for students and entry-level positions for students just finishing their degree. The session concluded with a 20-minute Q&A session where students from the Bachelor's program & MBA were able to ask Mr. Hahn about the many nuances involved with valuation. It was a great session and we hope to see Mr. Hahn in the future again!
