A semester full of company experience, management courses and soft skills

Semester opening

At the semester opening session Prof. Harald Strotmann, program director and vice dean of Business PF, welcomed our MBA students to summer semester. During the formal information session students learned about upcoming company excursions, guest talks, management courses and development of soft skills. The information session was followed by lunch at the campus’ cafeteria, hosted by the MBA office.

The Second Semester

14 students from diverse backgrounds represent the new MBA class. They already grew closer in their pre-semester courses, namely, Project Management and Scientific Writing. Now they look forward to more courses of advanced business topics and Specializations. Moreover, students will be choosing from the three electives, which includes, Leadership, Change Management and Managerial Decision Making. These electives will enable our students to develop managerial skills and will empower students to strengthen their decision-making competences.

Company Experience

In addition to the MBA courses, a variety of event formats get the MBA students in touch with numerous companies. This semester, our MBA class takes a trip to1&1, SAP, KPMG and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen during company excursions. Furthermore, the three day trip to Nuremberg region is planned to give insights to Schlenk, LEONI Kabel and ebm Papst. Moreover, during this semester, representatives from five companies visit the classroom, including Deutsche Bank, Berenberg, Mahle, Rutronic and Vincotech. Most of the company presentations are presented by our alumni, now holding top positions in these companies. Additionally, our current students have a chance to interact with alumni in the upcoming alumni meet in May. Lastly, all the networking opportunities during company visits, guest talks and Alumni meeting will be followed by our on campus job fair Campus X and the newly introduced Meet Master event, which would give our students broad access to the German labor market.

We hope this to be a start to another great semester!
