With the beginning of the summer semester the MBA was happy to welcome six new students to the program. As they all have a professional business background they could join the MBA class of 2021 in the second semester.
After an extraordinary semester start caused by the Covid-19 virus and the related restrictions the new MBA students settled in nicely and became already a vital part of the class.
Below they speak about why they choose the MBA at Pforzheim University and about their experiences of the first weeks in Pforzheim and in the MBA program:

Evana from Bangladesh
“I have embarked on the MBA journey at Pforzheim University during the summer semester in March 2020. Along with the excitement of moving to a new country and meeting students from around the world, I also expected to receive knowledge and guidance from the classroom lectures and discussions, from the very onset of my intensive MBA program. However, the semester started rather differently with the Covid-19 pandemic crisis looming over the globe. It was a challenge for both the university and the students to handle the situation pertaining to the sudden change in schedule and delivery of the class lectures. Since the restrictions regarding the shutdown of universities and social contact have been enforced as measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, our faculty members have come up with innovative ways of teaching - using several online tools and techniques, to make quality education not just feasible to us but also interesting. For now, I am learning to adapt to this completely new method of studying and doing group work and projects online, while still trying to contribute to my courses and imbibing the knowledge and skills in a completely unexpected manner.”

Delvin from Nicaragua
“I came to Pforzheim University to fulfil my dream of achieving an MBA in an international recognized university. I wanted to be exposed to a strong international experience sharing and learning in a multicultural atmosphere.
My first weeks in Pforzheim were characterized by adaptation, getting to know the city, getting familiar with classmates, enrolling in German classes, and enrolling in the MBA. I found the university to be up-to-date with teaching and learning facilities, and professors are highly skilled and really competent. Moreover, the staff has always been very friendly and supportive, and classmates have been like family members that have helped me and assisted me even with personal issues and requirements. Despite current special circumstances of COV-19, my process of integration into the program has been faster due to the great support I have received.”

Jamshid from Uzbekistan
“My first impression is the location of the university. It is located near the forest and is far from megapolises which makes concentration easy. I really like the method of teaching which is based more on team projects, group presentations and discussion with real business cases. I strongly believe that they will help me to improve my analytics, decision making and leadership skills.
At the same time, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all professors who are doing their best to make the online lectures as face-to-face lectures, despite this hard times caused by the Coronavirus.”

Adrita from India
“Deciding to do a full time MBA after spending more than 7 years in the industry was a tough choice. The most challenging part of the process was to shortlist universities. Hochschule Pforzheim seemed to be the perfect choice given its International Accreditation by AACSB, the ranking on global platforms and the quality of education at an affordable cost. Positive feedbacks from alumni made the decision easy. I thank Hochschule Pforzheim MBA team for seeing every candidate as an individual with unique strengths, which makes the batch small yet diverse in terms of background and experience. The program focuses on group activities, interactive sessions, case studies and a practical approach in a cross cultural environment making it a highly enriching experience. It is amazing to see the agility with which the course structure is converted to online mode, owing to the current circumstances. Thank you for this initiative and all the outstanding efforts by the professors and the entire MBA team to ensure the semester is on track amidst a global crisis.”

Shagarika from India
“Pforzheim is a serene and pleasing place to live in. Our University standing at the top of the hill throws a spectacular sight, with one of the most outstanding library views I have ever seen.
I chose Hochschule Pforzheim as the aisle to my career in Management as this University offers education through such brilliant faculty and provides students with the best networking opportunities by arranging corporate visits and job fairs.”

Welcome to Pforzheim University and to the MBA program! It´s a pleasure to have you here with us!
