German Language Skills Are The Key To Many Doors
News
Just like any other skills, language also needs continuous practice, feedback and group work.
Dr. Hannes Gürgen's C1.1 Course was a fantastic learning experience. The course, being very application oriented, we not only focused on advanced vocabulary, but also discussed the German culture by presenting on topics like the German history, sports, music, art and many others.
We did role plays of job interview sessions, where we practised how to stay calm under pressure and answer questions related to our career aspirations, personality, strengths in advanced German language.
The course was a perfect combination of learning and fun which included learning tongue twisters, proverbs, an excursion to the Weihnachtsmarkt in Pforzheim and a get-together where we played Uno and bonded as a group.
A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hannes Gürgen for a memorable learning experience, and to Professor Ines Deibele, for an informative Wirtschaftsdeutsch Course, where we learnt and practised German in business settings.
A special thanks to Ms. Christina De Lange of the Sprachenzentrum for organizing the advanced German language course for enabling us with the skills to integrate into the German culture.
Our learning journey continues as we are super-excited to participate in the C1.2 Course in the upcoming summer semester.
