Cross-cultural environment is just not about studying together but also about celebrating together and understanding different cultures

Cross-cultural environment is just not about studying together but also about celebrating together and understanding different cultures, and that’s what the Indian students of the HS PF MBA Program did on the occasion of Diwali – the most auspicious Indian festival.

Being one of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance." It is enjoyed by most Indians from different religions such as Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, and Sikhs regardless of faith. There are many stories emphasising the story of Diwali but in all interpretations one common thread rings true—the festival marks the victory of good over evil.

The event took off with an animated video presentation showcasing the story of Diwali and emphasizing the significance & belief behind the festival. Indian food and sweets added more flavour to the essence of the festival.

There was Indian music and performances on different dancing styles by the students such as bhangra, bollywood and hip-hop. Many students from different nationalities and the faculty members attended the event and enjoyed it throughout. It was a night full of light, music and dance.
