At the Business School Pforzheim, students find a performance-enhancing learning environment that supports them in gaining personal experience and expanding their competencies individually. The Business School relies on interaction between teachers and students as well as the exchange between fellow students. Personal contact, small groups, individual support, and guidance combined with mutual respect, a sense of responsibility, initiative, and professionalism – factors which are also important prerequisites for a career in a global environment.
The Business School’s goal is to educate its students to become critical thinkers. Therefore, knowledge, skills and individual competencies are promoted in equal measure. These include, among others, creativity, the ability to solve problems, leadership skills, but also social conscience and a sense of responsibility. Students are given the opportunity to gain personal experience and to individually expand their knowledge, skills and competencies within the framework of continuing education programs. The acquisition of intercultural experience and the "international experience" is also specifically promoted - through English-language courses on the Pforzheim campus, as well as through international student exchanges. In addition, the personal commitment of the students is evident in the lecture hall as well as in the many student initiatives in which they are involved. Students make a significant contribution to making the Pforzheim campus an open, lively place.
Future orientation also plays a major role at the Business School. Since the range of bachelor’s and master’s programs covers the diversity of business functions and processes as well as future-oriented issues, the aim is to keep teaching up to date with the latest knowledge and professional discussions and to anticipate future trends. In addition to the continuous improvement of teaching, the Business School also aims to investigate new issues relevant to business and society in its research.
