EVALUATIONS AT THE BUSINESS SCHOOL PFORZHEIM
What does “evaluation“ mean?
In terms of education, evaluation means assessing and analyzing the collected results. Through the assessments it is possible to identify potential for improvement and derive recommendations for action. In order to distinguish these evaluations from others we are hereafter referring to course evaluations.
How is the course evaluation handled at Pforzheim University?
The State Higher Education Act (Landeshochschulgesetz or LHG) from January 1, 2005, § 5 paragraph 2 sentence 4, requires the universities to conduct self-evaluations regularly. Whereby students have to be involved.
The university implemented these regulations in the evaluation system adopted in 2005 (revision in 2010). It doesn’t only control the process of course evaluations, but also surveys on other topics.
How does one evaluate?
The university supported faculties with the introduction of systematic course evaluations. In the faculties the evaluation is carried out in different ways, while always considering the requirement profiles of the various departments.
The data protection of all evaluations complies with the standards of ZENDAS (Zentrale Datenschutzstelle der baden-württembergischen Universitäten) to the highest degree.
