Students visit La Biosthetique

Services as “The Culture of Total Beauty”

Cutting hair seems easy, but what do you do as a salon owner in a growing and increasing competitive market?

With these questions in mind, students of Corporate Communications Managements as well as the MBA International Management program researched the Hair & Beauty Care Market in Pforzheim.

Grouped in teams of five, the international students visited various beauty salons in order to analyze and benchmark their business against the theoretical frameworks as during their lecture Services Marketing, as being given by Professor Dr. Kai Alexander Saldsieder.

For a final round-up, all students visited the LA BIOSTHETIQUE ACADEMY in Pforzheim last week, where they got further inside into the world of the Hair & Beauty Care Industry with its opportunities and threats, due to increasing market dynamics and changing consumer behavior.

Finally, the students visited the Hair & Beauty Salon Happel-Reilling in Pforzheim, a business partner of LA BIOSTHETIQUE PARIS in order to see, what all is possible in the strive for service excellence within a hair dressing salon.

After a LA BIOSTHETIQUE welcome tea, Yvonne Hohmann, Beauty-Specialist and Deputy Head of the Salon, demonstrated how professional services are realized, using the Total Beauty Ritual, including Check-in-Cards for customers as well as sculp skin test with according product recommendations and further concept details.

“What I liked the most here, is the personal attitude and commitment of the service people. And I must say, that their concept is really breath-taking”, said a student at the end of the visit.

Professional Services Marketing, that was the conclusion, starts with individual performance, and excels on the fundament of a sound, customer-oriented concept. In this case: The Culture of Total Beauty.
