We are thrilled to announce that two of our MCCM graduates, Marwin Bayer and Tabea Jägle, have been recognized among the Top 3 at the BdKom Talent Award 2024. Congratulations to the winner Fabian Saxinger from Leipzig University!

Since 2007, BdKom has been honoring outstanding theses in media, social, and communication sciences, focusing on research with practical applications in communication practice. This year, two of the three best master’s theses in the field in Germany were from Pforzheim graduates. Their theses were selected through a competitive process by a 12-member jury consisting of scientists and practitioners.

As part of the Top 3, Marwin and Tabea had the opportunity to present the results of their master’s theses at the Kommunikationskongress 2024, the leading German industry conference. Under the theme “Waves”, around 1,700 PR professionals from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland gathered to discuss current trends and challenges in communication, exchange ideas, and network. This year’s conference focused on how AI is revolutionizing communication, discussing what this means for communicators. Additionally, in the super election year of 2024, the conference emphasized campaigning and addressing populism from a corporate communications perspective.

Marwin Bayer: “Two days of intense discussions, exciting lectures, and valuable encounters. Presenting my thesis on strategic CEO attitude communication at the industry summit was a great personal experience that I will often look back to – thanks to BdKom for this special opportunity!”

Tabea Jägle: “Being able to not only attend the conference but also contribute by presenting my research was an extraordinary experience. This achievement highlights the Pforzheim MCCM’s education, which combines scientific rigor with practical relevance.
