#finance: Guest speaker at Pforzheim University
Recently, Mr. Alex Dischler visited his alma mater to give a guest lecture on M&A and Private Equity in Prof. Dr. Eichner’s “Investment Banking and Corporate Finance“ course. Mr. Dischler, a graduate of Pforzheim University‘s International Business Bachelor program with vast experience in investment banking and private equity, provided the students with valuable insights on M&A sale processes and on how to best break into investment banking and private equity as an undergraduate student. Leveraging on Mr. Dischler‘s own industry experience, the students were able to make best use of the extensive Q&A session addressing interview questions, cv topics, required skills or further graduate studies possibilities in Germany and abroad.
Alex Dischler currently works as Senior Associate in L.E.K. Consulting’s Munich office, focusing on strategy and due diligence projects within various sectors. Prior to joining L.E.K., Alex worked for different Private Equity funds across Europe including PAI Partners, Gilde Healthcare Partners and AUCTUS Capital as well as for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) within the Strategy and Private Equity core practices. During his studies he interned in Investment Banking focusing mainly on M&A at different Investment Banks and advisory firms including UniCredit, Clearwater International and KPMG. Mr. Dischler holds an undergraduate degree in International Business from Pforzheim Business School, where he focused on Banking and International Finance, as well as a Master Grande École degree in Finance with distinction from ESCP Europe in Paris and Berlin and a Master in Management degree with highest honors from Cass Business School, City University London.
